In this role as a Digital Technology & AI Intern, you will engage in practical IT activities, including operations, infrastructure, and networking support, while participating in digital transformation and AI adoption initiatives across Siemens Oman. You will collaborate closely with local and regional IT teams to deliver workplace technology solutions, assist users, execute infrastructure projects, and explore emerging AI applications.
Key Responsibilities:
– IT Operations & Infrastructure Support: Provide assistance for daily IT operations and workplace services, including the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of laptops, standard Siemens applications, and client software. Support employee onboarding, device deployment, and workplace setup. Monitor and resolve basic network connectivity issues, assist with LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure under supervision, and contribute to IT asset tracking and inventory management. Coordinate with external service providers and vendors as needed.
– Digitalization & Automation: Assist in digital transformation efforts and process optimization, including workflow automation and productivity enhancements. Develop and maintain user documentation, guides, and knowledge resources to improve accessibility and efficiency.
– AI Adoption & Innovation: Promote AI awareness and adoption within Siemens Oman by organizing learning sessions, demonstrations, and awareness campaigns. Support employees in integrating AI-powered productivity tools into their workflows.
Qualifications:
– Currently enrolled as a student or a recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
– Fundamental knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/Wi-Fi).
– Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems.
– A strong passion for IT infrastructure, networking, digital technologies, automation, and AI.
– Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
– A proactive mindset with a commitment to learning and taking initiative in assigned tasks.
