Engineer (Cost Control)

Category: Construction / Engineering / Infrastructure / Cement / Metal Location: Muscat Muscat Sultanate of Oman • Oversee and monitor the budget of projects, compare the actual cost with the budget and analyze any major deviations from budget. • Familiar with all individual cost elements of the budget to ensure accurate monitoring of costs.• Activity based cost analysis and preparation of master budget for the project.• Prepare monthly costing against the scheduled work with proper resource estimation and its monitoring• Prepare the resource productivity bench mark for all major activities and resources and monitor against actuals and provide feedback to the management and project team.• Analyse material cost, Manpower cost, plant cost, fuel cost, sub contract cost etc on a day to day basis and correctly allocate to prime activities it belong to.• Raise red flags and major risks discovered (based on costs incurred and other financial criteria)• Analyze costs of sub-contracts involved in the project and compare actual subcontractor costs with budgeted costs.• Prepare the cash flow forecast under consideration of the expected flow of funds .• Verify invoices and claims from suppliers and subcontracts to properly capture and record all project expenditures• Coordinate with procurement to check purchases against budget• Analyse and provide the cost deviations reports and improvement measures to curb the cost overrun on a regular basis.• Prepare CTC for the project and update the same quarterly• Provide cost control and planning advise to the project team as required• Develop monthly financial project report comparing actual incurred costs against plans with variance analysis for management reviews.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 5 Years as Cost controller with Main Contracting company mandatoryDetails
