ROLE OBJECTIVE
The role of a Sr. specialist data center is to oversee and manage the efficient and reliable operation of the data center's physical infrastructure and facilities. This includes ensuring the continuous availability of power, cooling, and environmental systems to support the critical IT equipment housed within the data center.

The Senior Specialist data center is responsible for planning and implementing maintenance and upgrades, conducting regular inspections, and coordinating with vendors and contractors for facility-related projects and maintain a secure and compliant data center environment.
This role will report to Data Centre Assistant Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee activities and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including power distribution systems, cooling systems, rack layout, and cabling.
• Manage and configure data center equipment, such as servers, storage devices, networking devices, and security appliances.
• implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and minimize service disruptions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors as necessary.
• Ensure implementation all back up plans and Disaster Recovery in cooperation with other Service Delivery Department Manager to meet various SLA requirements.
• Monitor the proper maintenance of data center facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations and in compliance with the ODP policies on a day to day basis.
• Coordinate with vendors for timely support and fixes to ensure data center operation downtime is maintained as zero
• Develop and or analyze customized customer reports by data collected from managed Data Center tools
• Assist in troubleshooting and managing of Data center operations.

ROLE SPECIFICATIONS
Qualification
• Diploma or Bachelor in IT or Electrical Engineering related field.
Certification
• Data Center Certified Professional (CDCP).
• Accredited Tier Professional (ATP)-Uptime.
• ITIL 4 Specialist.
Experience
• At least 5-7 years of experience in Data center and facilities management.
Skills
• In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure including network, cabling, air-conditioning etc
• Previous experience in using tools for DC management monitoring
• Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
