Senior Cloud Engineer - OCI | مهندس اول السحابة OCI

ROLE OBJECTIVE
The Sr. Cloud Engineer - OCI is a key member of our organization’s Cloud Operations team, responsible for the strategic, technical, and people-oriented aspects of managing and optimizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of our cloud infrastructure while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the optimal utilization of OCI and AWS resources, aligning with the organization’s business goals and technology objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine the cloud strategy, ensuring that OCI and AWS resources are leveraged effectively to meet scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency targets.
• Analyse industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the cloud space to provide insights and recommendations for enhancing the organization’s cloud infrastructure.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data protection requirements.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive management, translating technical concepts into actionable insights for informed decision-making.Performance Management & KPI Tracking.
• Design, deploy, and manage OCI and AWS environments, including compute, storage, networking, and security components, following best practices and architectural guidelines.
• Configure and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management using infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or equivalent.
• Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost of OCI and AWS resources, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
• Implement and manage security controls, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and compliance monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors as needed.
• Stay up to date with OCI and AWS updates, releases, and service offerings, evaluating their applicability and potential benefits for the organization.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the Cloud Operations team, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with HR and management to develop training programs, workshops, and resources to enhance the cloud skills and knowledge of team members.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring that cloud-related initiatives align with broader organizational objectives.
• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, contributing to the selection process and providing technical guidance during the integration phase.
• Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, promoting a customer-centric approach to problem-solving and addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

ROLE SPECIFICATIONS
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Certification
• Relevant cloud certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certified, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent.
Experience
• 5–7 years of experience in strategy execution, business performance tracking, or PMO roles.
• Exposure to KPI governance and strategic reporting in ICT or service-based organizations preferred.
Skills
• At least 5 years of equivalent work experience as a Cloud Engineer-OCI or similar role.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex cloud environments using OCI and AWS services.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively across functional areas.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
