Join the Oman Promotional Brand Office (OBO), a newly established national entity created in accordance with Royal Directives issued in November 2024 and formally constituted under Ministerial Decree 430/2025. As the technical steward of OBO’s digital platforms, the Website Developer will oversee the development, functionality, security, and continuous upkeep of all organizational websites, collaborating closely with design and brand teams to ensure seamless alignment with Oman’s unified brand identity.
To qualify, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related discipline, accompanied by a demonstrated portfolio of live websites. The role entails end-to-end responsibility for building and maintaining web properties, implementing designs using modern front-end frameworks, and integrating them with a designated content management system. Key duties include optimizing site performance, ensuring robust security measures, adhering to accessibility standards (WCAG), and supporting bilingual functionality (English/Arabic with right-to-left language support). Additional responsibilities encompass hosting management, deployment processes, version control, analytics integration, third-party system integrations, and maintaining technical documentation alongside incident response protocols. Collaboration with external development or hosting partners may also be required.
Ideal candidates will possess strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with proficiency in at least one modern framework such as React or Vue. Hands-on experience with platforms like WordPress or Webflow is essential, as is a solid grasp of SEO principles, web performance optimization, and analytics tracking. Familiarity with hosting solutions, deployment pipelines, and version control systems (Git) is highly desirable, along with prior experience developing bilingual websites to support right-to-left language structures.
